QUILTER'S COMMENTS

Over the years I have received some very thoughtful notes and emails from quilters about my lectures and workshops.
Thought I would share some of them with you.

I would like to say how much I enjoyed your play
and the wonderful quilts that you displayed at our September meeting.
Your program was so unique and personal.  It will be thought of often and remembered fondly.

What a delightful evening you provided our Guild with!
We so enjoyed your show and your quilts were extra amazing!

The Conejo Valley Quilt Guild would like to thank you for your most delightful and inspiring presentation of "Where I've Been and How I Got Here."  I'm sure your enthusiasm will motivate us all to challenge ourselves and be more creative.

Thank you for the show at the guild meeting.  Also, I have only had good response from the students at the workshop. I'm anxious to see their blocks or tablerunners or whatever!

The following is a quote from the Lighthouse Quilt Guild minutes:
Comments on the quilt show erupted as a non-agenda item.  The consensus appears to be that this was the best year yet in every way.  Barbara Dieges was especially commended for being such a presence at the quilt show.  She was available and approachable for a good part of the time on the floor of the show and even helped sell tickets to her trunk show.

Thank you for presenting A Thread Runs Through It at the Santa Clara Valley Quilt Association meeting last Thursday.  Many members have expressed how much they enjoyed your talk.  I know many were moved by it.  It was a lovely way to gain some insight into life in the 1800's.  It is useful to be reminded that quilting is part of our heritage.  I believe all quilters feel a connection to that era, whether we make traditional quilts, art quilts or clothing.  We are connected by, as you say, the thread that runs through it.

We in the class had a great time and learned a great deal from you. You were so patient with all of us learning this new and GREAT....technique for making triangles.  I hope in the future we will be able to have you come once again to our guild with another wonderful and new technique.  I'm currently working on your block and want to make a wall hanging with them.  Your lecture presentation was so unusual and your quilts outstanding.  I could see the entire guild was just enthralled with your story telling method and personally I sure wished I had brought my camera!
