TULIP GARDEN    48"x69"

Intermediate

      Inspired by the tulip gardens of Keukenhof in the Netherlands.  These techniques involve cutting and sewing strips without cutting individual triangles.  Quick techniques are also used to make the leaves.  The bright colors of tulips will brighten a room during any season.

      Batiks were used for the whole piece, since these fabrics are so intense in color.  The background could be dark, but then the flower, stem and leaf fabrics would need to be made from pastel fabrics.
